Jeanne's Dinner Rolls
My bestie gave me a recipe for dinner rolls that has two ingredients. I didn't believe it would work without yeast but I wanted to give it a try. I couldn't believe how easy the dough came together with very little kneading.
What's in them? 1 cup Greek yogurt and 1 cup self rising flour. THAT'S IT! Once the dough comes together, knead it on floured (self rising flour) cutting board until the dough isn't sticky.
I shaped the dough into small rolls, brushed with olive oil, course salt and sesame seeds. Jeanne says she shapes the dough like pretzels, brushes with egg and tops with salt.
I bet you could roll the dough out and stuff it with pepperoni and mozzarella, making mini calzones. Maybe drained spinach, feta cheese and caramelized onions would be yummy too. Mini meatballs, red gravy (yes I said gravy not sauce) and mozarella cheese would make a great appetizer.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Make these your own and enjoy!
